Come and Stay a While at La Casa Bonam
We have been blessed to have so many visitors this past year in La Ceiba. Not only is it nice to catch up with friends but it is great to be able to share our new life and ministry with people as well. Ask anyone who has been and they will tell you that it gives them a better idea of life in a third world nation and a glimpse into the lives of all who call Honduras home. Please consider coming for a warm, sunny, holiday, a mission trip or a combination of both. Stay for a week or a few months. Come and Teach
One way you can help in the future is to come and teach at the school that is being built at Ninos de la Luz, the Orphanage where we volunteer. As of January 2006 they will be looking for teachers to come as missionaries to Honduras for a two year term to teach SK through grade five. This gives you some time to work on your Spanish as you would be required to give instruction in Espanol. Mission Trips to Honduras for Groups
As well as wanting to encourage you to visit us as individuals, couples and families we also want to welcome groups. We are equipped now with our retreat centre in Las Mangas to care for and support groups of up to 20 people at a time. Maybe your youth group needs to see how the third world is living. Perhaps having participated in a local two week mission your house group is ready for more. Mark and Joy know first hand how frustrating it is to be fired up for missions and then to find the costs unbearable. FAYE will never profit from anyone coming here to serve. You pay your own way, nothing else. So come as a youth group, a seniors group, a church, friends and neighbours. With a large group we will be able to create new and exciting projects that you will be able to see the fruits of both while you are here and for years to come.
We have fifteen people coming from Stoneridge Bible Chapel in Hamilton this July to build a Play Room for the Orphange and two other girls coming from Ajax this August to help out. So come with a friend or many friends and we will organize the right mission trip for your group.

Start Supporting the Work of Mark and Joy Bonam
Maybe you stumbled on to this web page. Or a friend told you to read about our work. If you are like Joy and I, then you probably question the validity of charities. Where does the money go once they cash my cheque? If I knew that, then I would support the work. FAYE is not a large charity, we avoid bank charges, we don't think laptops for the staff are necessary. But we will blow your money on gifts for orphans. We will take hungry children to Pizza Hut and not just offer them rice, beans and milk everyday. They will get to the beach and snorkel in the ocean. They will read from the same text books as your child does. My vision is that one day twenty five years from now a street child we helped will be the president of a multi-national corporation or even this nation. That's not going to happen with only rice, beans and a grade 5 education. You really want to make a difference? Then start supporting FAYE today.
